Lovely precise aromatics that are both herbal and bloody, with notes of dried flowers. On the palate it's fresh and fluid, dry and savoury, with some thyme and flowers again. Fresh (if not high) acidity, and the tannins are quite restrained for the appellation, as they often are at this estate. The long finish is harmonious, deep, with a coarse-sand tannic texture. Not classic Cornas (it's not as concentrated or structured) but nonetheless very Cornas in fruit and spirit. From lieu-dit La Geynale, 75% whole bunch, aged 24 months in diamond-shaped concrete tanks.
