A dark-fruited expression of northern Syrah, with plentiful blackberry and no evident oak in terms of flavour. Lush, ripe and generous; it's fairly extracted, with slightly warm alcohol and good acidity. The overall effect is a little rustic in texture, but enjoyable, with good concentration. From old vines planted near lieu-dit Tartaras. Spends six months in old barriques.
