<p>This is ripe and spicy with an inviting nose of cedar and raspberry. It&rsquo;s lively and brisk on the palate with a good sense of tension and vibrancy. A really drinkable, ripe and well-balanced style with precise raspberry fruit and a touch of star anise. Plenty of impact and brightness but not terribly long. Relatively pale in colour. The alcohol just a little high, but the wine is nonetheless very good. From 60-year-old Grenache with Syrah and Mourv&egrave;dre in organic conversion grown on sandy soils. Hand harvested, destemmed, fermented in concrete then 1/3 sees eight months in barrel.</p>
