Soft, rounded, juicy and ready for drinking. There’s a slight iron tang to the unctuous black fruits. Finishes firm and fairly long, on generous al-dente tannins. A wine that’s drinking well now, a very satisfying Vacqueyras. Well balanced, with a good sense of freshness on the palate still. I would drink this now, but there’s no hurry. 50-year-old goblet trained Grenache from the north and west of the appellation, 10% matured in demi-muid.
