Dark chocolate, coffee bean, tea leaves. Then deep, dark fruit on the palate – remarkably concentrated for such a cool vintage. Has some tight, tense tannins on the finish. Well balanced, vibrant and sinewy, this is a great success for the vintage. 75-year-old vines, destemmed, aged in barrel.
