Soft, yielding, gentle and strawberry-like, this is remarkably successful for the vintage, still lively with plenty of fruit and not dried out. There’s a touch of benevolent decay to the aromatics now, and gently drying tannins on the finish. A single vineyard planted on clay limestone near the border with Rasteau.
