Wow! Quite a nose, full of geranium, liquorice and intense violets. Full-bodied, rich and opulent in texture, very powerful and full-bodied. Tannins and acidity running through the wine like iron fibres. Really surging, a maelstrom of intensity on the palate. So fresh, vibrant and highly individual. The alcohol feels quite high, but criticising a wine like this seems rather petty, it's a force of nature. 30-year-old vines on average, 30hl/ha, 10% whole bunch. Unfined, unfiltered, no oenological products added, matured in concrete for one year.
