Produced in partnership with the Chaussy-Laget family at their Mas de Boislauzon estate, this is Jorge Piernas' foray into the Rhône, exploring what he can do with Grenache and the Mourvèdre/Monastrell he so well knows from his home in Murcia. Fully vinified in cement there's a lovely vibrancy and puricy here, with a chiseled outline to the cherry, bramble and blackcurrant fruit. The tannins are vividly spicy and there's an energetic rusticity - think dried Mediterranean herbs and garrigue - that gives it sense of place and approachability.
