This is different to most pure Cinsaults; there's a slightly candied blackcurrant and blackberry note, it's quite dark in fruit expression. Full-bodied for a Cinsault, with concentration and power. Good acidity; it helps to balance the rather generous alcohol. The finish is long, sweet/savoury; feels like there's a touch of oak here too. Very long finish. A structured style of Cinsault more for the dinner table. Blue marl and sandy soils.
