Deep and dank, with iodine and seaweed on the nose. The fruit turns up on the palate, soft, gentle and silky, with bright acidity and a long, focused finish. This is quite a peculiar Vacqueyras, but one that offers some interest and plenty to talk about. Lots of sweet, al-dente tannins still. From 30-year-old vines where grapes were destemmed, and indigenous yeasts were used.
