Very red-fruited, with raspberry, redcurrant and strong cinnamon and fennel seed spice on the long finish. A Châteauneuf with plenty of punch and focus. Good sense of freshness on the palate still, balanced acidity and a saline current running through it. There's some space in the wine, it has a lovely sense of zest, vitality and drinkability. Grown on the galets roulés of La Crau. Remaining 2% is made up of Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Clairette, Vaccarèse, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, Picardan, Counoise, Muscardin, Picpoul and Terret Noir.
