Interesting nose of smashed almonds, pear and the faintest hint of petrol. Full-bodied, plenty of textural wealth and more nuttiness on the palate. The acidity comes later, through the fat. The alcohol is a little raised. A rich, opulent, very ripe style of Clairette, with a touch of fruit sweetness that brings a degree of balance.
