This smells like port on the nose with coffee, raisin and prune notes. The texture is not overly thick with real density of fruit on the palate. Confected, jammy red and black fruits are supported by crunchy tannins. Despite the alcohol it doesn't give off much heat but you get a sense of the vintage from the confected fruit flavour. Heady and rich - not for the fainthearted but it's decidedly drinkable.
