Lifted, floral notes on the nose with a fresh, brambly edge adding an extra layer. Luxurious and voluptuous on both nose and palate, with black and blue fruit to the fore. Crisp dark cherry acidity keeps the palate fresh. A very clean, vibrant, well-judged wine that has lots to enjoy. Some herbal and mineral notes to finish. Clos la Coutale is a substantial, 100ha estate, owned for six generations by the Bernède family. This wine undergoes slow fermentation at temperatures of 15°C-20°C. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
