A fragrant, complex nose with hints of spice and wood, and floral notes as well. Plenty of weight and ripeness to the fruit, with black plum and blueberry characters plus a touch of dark cherry and liquorice. Concentrated palate with flesh, density and ripeness. Matured in new oak barrels for 12 months. Ready now but there’s no hurry. A fine Cahors wine from one of the appellation’s top producers.
