Another newcomer to Sainsbury's Discovery Collection for spring 2023, this Fronton is super value for money. A blend of Negrette (70%) and Malbec from 15- to 30-year old vines, there's good depth of spicy black and red cherry fruit and brambly berries on the palate, which is juicy, with fresh acidity. Ripe blackcurrant, black cherry, floral notes and just a suggestion of liquorice on the nose.
