Bernhard Huber played a decisive role in redefining the potential of Pinot Noir in Baden. Julian Huber is continuing his father’s life’s work, adding his own impressive personal touch. In challenging vintages, such as the cool 2024, he blends the grapes from Bienenberg and the associated Wildenstein plots, with their limestone-rich soils, into a single wine. The 2024 Bienenberg thus displays impressive intensity. It offers a wealth of elements: colour, fruit, pencil and graphite, and spicy notes of coffee and toast. On the palate, however, the wine is surprisingly refined and smooth, with a delicate structure. The acidity typical of the vintage lends it freshness.
