An outstanding medium-sweet Riesling with 60g/L of residual sugar, but not in any way cloying thanks to its racy acidity. The volcanic red slate soils in this famous vineyard imparts a smoky wet-stone tang to flavours of autumnal apples, exotic fruit and white blossoms. Delicate but concentrated, it would be a lovely wine to pair with rich pâtés or even fruit tarts.
