Notions of fresh, ripe Mirabelle plum are laced with citrus on the inviting nose. The palate convinces with wonderful ease: there is something breezy, something effortless in this wine, as though a summery gust of wind had swept a cloud of floral, fruity, citrus notions upon these grapes. The truth, of course, is different in this steep site that demands backbreaking work. The Volz altitude, reaching 240m, made all the difference this year, lending the glorious, precise, tiptoe, lemon breeziness.
