From an elevated site on coloured sandstone within the Kastanienbusch vineyard, this shows vivid freshness, grace and elegance. Initially the nose is all smoked meat, but the tender, pure raspberry fruit within has huge and tender allure. There is firmness at the core, and real substance despite the translucent finesse. A tinge of that smokiness persists and lends a mystical aspect to this very fine, elegant wine.
