Smoky was the first impression, with layers of hawthorn and strawberry unfolding on the nose. Juicy, with vivid acidity and a creamy core of red and dark berries, held together by a firm grip. Coming from the limestone soils of the family producer’s south-facing Grosses Gewächs site. Aged in used barrels and still with ages ahead to fully showcase its charm.
