The density and power in Gunter Künstler's rendition of Höllenberg is undeniable. The fruit almost borders on the aromatic richness of candied Amarena cherry. There's a little heat too, and a radiating, almost raw strength clothed in fine, firm tannins. There's some mouthfilling fleshiness, with hints of conifer and iron oxide joining a pervading freshness. This needs time due to its fruit and structure.
