Gutzler allows the raspberry fruit to shine alongside the dark chocolate notes from the oak ageing. The site itself, with its weathered soil made up of marine deposits from a limestone algae reef, also imparts its unique character, mainly evident as pencil shavings. The tannins are velvety, the extract is high, and there's a hint of appealing sweetness.
