Hansjörg and Matthias Aldinger have demonstrated consistently high quality across all grape varieties. Especially their Gips Marienglas site with its gypsum soil seems to be capable of everything. The Pinot Blanc was surprisingly fresh, crystal clear and taut for a warm vintage like 2020. Still slightly reductive, notes of peach and orange blossom slowly emerged from the smokiness. 12 months in tonneaux ensured harmony. A beautiful smooth texture - the result of 20 months on the full lees - characterises the impression on the palate.
