Nikos Karavitakis has poured his heart into Kotsifali. With a dedicated team, he continues to refine the estate’s wines from this variety, vintage after vintage. A single swirl of this single-vineyard expression reveals why. The nose is stunningly perfumed, with Burgundian poise and allure, marrying heady black-cherry richness with floral lift. The palate follows with bright, citrussy acidity, layered notes of thyme and bay leaf, and a whisper of Barolo-like tar. Light, loosely woven tannins offer just enough structure to frame the opulent fruit. The finish is long, juicy and almost weightless, lingering with a savoury trace of black olive.
