This comes from relatively young vines and a single parcel, it being the result of Kir Yianni exploring what Xinomavro on this terroir can express – and this oak-aged rosé is proving that it is a prime site. Light pink-red in colour, the aromas of honeyed melon and peach expand to a beautiful richness on the palate. Soft, almost sweet and spicy oaky richness gives a lusciousness to the whole. Silky jasmine tea florals, ripe honeyed fruit and intense white peach are layered with the textured structure of the oak while beautifully fresh, pithy, white citrus acidity counterbalances the richness.
