Now owning 30ha of organic vineyards, Monemvasia Winery was founded in 1997 by George and Elli Tsimpidis with the aim to revive the historic wines of Monemvasia. This was the second vintage of this wine. Made from sun-dried grapes (12 days), fermented in steel. Matured in 225L second-use oak barrels for two years. A intense sweet wine with notes of roasted meat and raisins, and lifted aromas, burnt caramel and toffee, like a bruléed pear tart. 178g/l RS.
