Very pale red from extended skin contact which also serves to concentrate the aromas to give grapey marmalade and ginger richness with black floral and herbal notes. On the palate there’s also some serious aromatic complexity with sloes, redcurrants and crunchy cranberries leading on to more mineral notes of black tea and lapsang souchong. Dry tannins and well-integrated, vibrant acidity. Long and energising with such a pretty rose petal and Seville marmalade combination creating a wine which is elegant, imaginative and showing the sort of innovation that makes rosé so exciting.
