A benchmark for exciting Kékfrankos in the modern era from a single vineyard of 49-year-old vines on degraded slate close to Lake Neusiedl on the Austrian border. It has inviting, fine yet complex aromas, with morello cherry, loganberry, a hint of violet and well-integrated oak.  The fruit intensity is fantastic, with fine, focused elegance. It's supported by a fresh core, fine-grained tannins and a lingering finish. Not a flashy wine but poised and graceful.
