An incredibly concentrated nose of chocolate orange, toffee, figs, dried fragrant herbs, and leather. Still vibrant, with fantastic drive and expressive notes of black cherry, dark plum, prune, and hints of smoke. Bright and vivid at an astonishing 17.7g/l acidity, the intense fruit bouquet gives way to toasted nuts and evolving layers of dried dark fruits and candied orange peel on an everlasting finish. The 1999 vintage experienced a wet and warm summer with two hailstorms. The Aszú grapes were harvested from late September until Christmas Eve.
