Fragrant lemon zest and hints of orange blossom. The initial aromatic power is kept in check by a chalky palate, which is altogether more restrained and redolent of stone fruit, white melon and honeysuckle. While joyful and fruity, this is a decidedly fresh wine with much non-fruit textural intensity and a lengthy, complex finish. A good Chardonnay, regardless of its origin.
