The characterful Gaglioppo grape is the calling card of Cirò, whose top tier – Cirò Classico – was elevated to DOCG status in 2025. Librandi is one of the larger producers in the area, and this well-distributed Cirò Classico is a friendly introduction to this Calabrian variety. Think dried orange zest, caramelised plum, the smell of hot terracotta in the sun, some dried mint and sweet paprika and you've got the right idea. The tannins are lightly grainy and pleasingly chewy.
