Riserva

In the cool, rainy 2014 vintage it was not easy to make a Riserva, particularly with an untamable grape such as Aglianico. This wine is spontaneously fermented in oak, with a long maceration and 24 months spent ageing in oak tonneaux and 50hl vessels. Dark and evolved, it has cold coffee notes, overripe cassis and cigar leaves. It shows muscular tannins not without dryness, and an earthy, complex, warming finish.
