Neroametà ('half black') is a white wine made from Aglianico. It's a rare use for this red grape, which is vinified in stainless steel with no skin contact to avoid leaching of any phenolics such as colour or tannins. It results in an ashen-coloured wine with scents of hay and candied citrus peel. Salty and sapid, it has a sweet, creamy core of earthy red fruits and sweet citrus, with a subtle note of struck match. A unique, ageable, terroir-led white.
