Greco di Tufo

I gave Tenuta Casoli's new 2020 release of Le Crete 90 points, but this 2010 really demonstrates how well Greco di Tufo can age: while the 2020 is salty, lemony and subtly mushroomy, the 2010 has put on weight and has developed impressive complexity of apricot jam, fig, poached pear, white pepper and nuts. Rich, smooth and round, it still has superb freshness with a lick of salinity against a counterpoint of mushroomy savouriness. Worth waiting for!
