Alessandro Nicolucci is the fourth generation of a grape growing family who have always bottled their own production, with (very few) bottles from the 19th century to prove it. This wine, from a single vineyard on 500m asl, is in the village of Predappio Alto, its wine culture going back at least a 1,000 years, is fiercely traditional, combining depth with concentration, while gaining in complexity on the finish. Ageworthy.
