1701 Franciacorta is - for the moment - the only biodynamic winery in Franciacorta. The most significant production is, of course, sparkling wine, but one still wine is also made: Surnát. A 100% Chardonnay, it is fermented and aged in terracotta for eight months. It shows straightforward floral aromas with crisp green apple and pear. In the mouth the wine is youthful and vibrant, with notes of wild herbs and lime. An intense white with defined flavours and great drinkability; elegantly easygoing.
