Riserva

A wine that can be called ‘historic’ for the Roero appellation (first vintage 1996); just as historic is the winery that produces it, run by the Negro family who have been involved in the wine trade for more than three centuries. This Roero Riserva comes from the grapes of the best vineyard plots and is highly expressive of the Roero terroir. Macerated in wooden vats for 40 days, it ages first for six months in barriques, then 18 months in large casks. On the nose, it releases notes of violet, raspberry, vanilla and green pepper. Juicy, upright and rich, it demonstrates a vibrant progression with superbly refined tannins and a long, harmonious finish.
