Crafted from the estate’s oldest vines, with an average age of 90 years, the 2020 Riserva is a surprisingly gracious and accessible example of Lazzarito. Yet there is still plenty of gumption and grip. Animated fragrances of mint blossom, pepper, liquorice and petrichor entice. There is lovely red fruit depth, supported by medicinal herbs and pink peppercorn. Tannins are smooth and finely polished, giving an elegant frame. Mouthcleansing acidity prolongs the perfumed finish.
