Crafted from 30-year-old vines with a sunny southwestern exposition at 300 metres above sea level, the 2022 Rombone exhibits a ripe, warm nose of strawberry compote, allspice and minty raspberry. It is an elegantly weighted beauty with tangy rhubarb framed by slender, sandy tannins which dissolve fluently with a pleasantly astringent tug. Quite gracious but well packed with fruit integrity, a graphite bite persists on the finish. Since 2016, the family works with consultant Dante Scaglione and in-house winemaker Francesco Versio, who have brought the wines to new heights.
