Ripe fruit is countered by dense, sandy tannins and bright acidity, while a hit of bitter herbs and tangy minerals tantalises. Becomes quite sleek on the finish. Scarrone wraps around the village of Castiglione Falletto from north to south. Boasting the latter exposure, Luigi Oddero’s steep Rocche Rivera vineyard sits at the top of the slope abutting the distinguished Rocche di Castiglione MGA.
