Luigi Vico, after a career as a tax advisor/accountant, is now dedicating himself to the vineyards historically owned by his family since the 17th century – approximately 2ha in Serralunga. His winery is young, certified organic and very traditional, with fermentation in concrete and ageing in big oak vessels. This offering is a delight of redcurrants, cherry kernel, freshness and elegance, with a nose reminiscent of vermouth. The palate offers a refined attack with a tight-knit structure, dusty, muscular tannins, lifted acidity; full of tension leading to the finish. There's great potential for ageing.
