Riserva

The winery owned by brothers Roberto and Massimo Damonte manages 43ha of vineyards, making it one of the largest in the Roero district. The 17ha S.S. Trinità vineyard sits on layers of sand and clay between 200m and 320m asl. The lower part of the hill is planted with Arneis, while Nebbiolo grapes grow at the top. From the latter comes this Roero Riserva, aged for 32 months in barrels of various sizes. The nose is broad and intense, with sweet spice aromas upfront and a floral bouquet and fresh fruit notes gradually unfolding. On the palate, it’s elegant, velvety and soft, with silky tannins, exuberant juiciness, and acidity well integrated with the aromatic intensity. A red wine capable of long and reassuring ageing.
