Barbaresco

The oldest Nebbiolo of the estate is located in its vineyard in the Serraboella cru, with vines of up to 60 years of age. Matured for 24 months in French oak barrels then 24 months in 25hL Slavonian oak, this has a rich yet fresh nose with plenty of potpourri accompanying drops of strawberry and raspberry coulis, red cherry, earth and wood. In the mouth it is structured but delightfully soft, the mellow fruit sinking into its wooden frame. Black pepper and liquorice emerge on the mid-palate, while hints of menthol and tobacco enter on the long, fresh finish. A refined glass of wine.
