Barbera d'Alba

Made from the estate's oldest vines - around 75 years old - in the Serraboella cru, this wine is only made in the best years. It's aged for 24 months in a combination of one-third new and two-thirds second-fill French oak barriques. The nose is deep and rich, with black cherry, wood, tobacco and damp earth, while in the mouth ripe black cherry, violet, liquorice, tobacco and raspberry lead to a finish of damp soil and sweet blue fruits. The tannins are very well integrated; so soft and silky.
