This Langhe Nebbiolo from Monchiero is traditionally produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes and ages for a maximum of 18 months in oak barrels. The grapes come from Castiglione Falletto, where the winery is based, as well as from La Morra. Bright ruby in the glass, the nose is reluctant, hiding an intriguing sweet violet aroma which also emerges on the palate, supported by pomegranate juice. Firm and slightly austere, it is well balanced on the finish with muscular tannins, crisp acidity and good fruit concentration.
