Attractive floral fragrances of dried rose and sage blossom join strawberry, rhubarb compote and sunbaked rock on the palate. There is a cool crispness to the acidity and admirable finesse overall. Just finishes a bit dusty. Barolo’s Oddero family manages 1.85 hectares in the esteemed MGA of Gallina. The southeast-facing plot is characterised by loose, sandy marls prone to drought, though Maria Cristina Oddero says the 50-year-old plantings showed surprising resilience in 2022.
