Marina Marcarino was a pioneer of organic farming here, converting her vineyards in 1982. This Riserva has a ripe, juicy, sour cherry nose that's quite broad and powerful. Although rich and hefty in the mouth, the wine is slightly flat in texture and lacks some pep and vibrancy - it's solid rather than energetic, giving a static impression, although it does have considerable length.
