The restless Enrico Rivetto is constantly innovating, but Leon is a traditional Barolo that's given long ageing in casks and older barriques. The nose is rich and toasty, showing formidable fruit and raspberry coulis aromas. The wine is very rich, full-bodied and mouthfilling. Its concentration makes it a bit of a bruiser, but it has abundant fruit. It's still reserved and needs time to harmonise and become more expressive.
