This Riserva comes from an artisanal estate. The fermentation takes place in new oak and malolactic is also done in oak, where the wine ages for 30 months. The nose is toasty, with fresh red currant fruit, sweet violet, and a whiff of yellow stone fruits. Below this graceful profile there is a firm structure of dusty, large-grained yet sweet tannins, dominated by a cola-oaky finish. Quite modern in style.
